We have had and association with Television Centre for over 50 years and are proud to have been given the opportunity to continue this in 2017 as the BBC return to the site.
The installation was completed ahead of schedule by our small team of full time employees.
Qualifications
The BBC Television Centre is at the heart of a larger Construction Site so it was important that we had SMSTS and SSSTS qualified staff. To unload deliveries we had our own CPCS qualified Forklift Driver.

Preparation
The floor was removed using a ride on stripping machine and the screed was prepared using a combination of methods.
BBC Studioworks have returned to three studios at the historic Television Centre. The studio floors were over 20 years old and required refurbishing. The floor in Studio TC3 had suffered extensive damage from the ingress of water over the last few years. The decision was made to remove the operating surface of 6mm from the underlying screed, to repair as necessary and resurface.
Elgood Studio Flooring is the only company to have a purpose designed studio floor system and the associated unique installation methods required for television studios.
