The concrete floor was prepared using vacuum contained shot-blasting to clean and key the surface.
The Elgood Universal Television Studio Floor with a our standard semi-gloss finish in the colour Dusty Grey RAL 7037.
Similar to Studio 3, Studio 2 is also a dual purpose facility and will be used for both Theatre and Television Production.
We were employed directly by Riverside TV after the Main Contractor had left site. This is our preferred time to install our floors.
We project managed and installed the floor working safely within the government guidelines to ensure that we were as COVID Secure as possible.
This included:
- Using only our own Covid risk assessed full time employees to install the floor. This reduced everyone’s risk of exposure which would have increased had any element been sub-contracted.
- Avoiding public transport in London.
- Maintaining good standards of hygiene on site at all times.
- Wearing the necessary PPE and being alert to the risks posed by Covid-19.
Riverside Studios have new facilities at their historic Television and Theatrical base in Hammersmith, London.
We were selected by Riverside TV to install our Universal Studio Floor in their exciting studio complex. Studio 2 is the third studio to receive our Universal Studio Floor.
